मैं लिखता हूँ। और मैं तब से लिखता रहा हूँ जब से मुझे याद है। प्राथमिक विद्यालय में शुरू की गई छोटी कविताओं से लेकर पंद्रह अगस्त के भाषण और आज की कहानियों, ब्लॉग आदि तक, मैं आज भी लिख रहा हूँ। क्योंकि मुझे ये काम आता है, और बाकी कामों से ज्यादा सहजता से आता है। लिखने से मुझे प्रेम है। मेरा लेखन भी मेरी ही तरह समय के साथ-साथ, जहाँ-जहाँ मैं पढ़ा, जिन-जिन लोगों से मिला, इन सबसे प्रभावित होकर बदलता रहा है।

फ़िक्शन लिखना मुझे पसंद है और वो मैं लिखता रहूँगा। इसके अलावा मैं समसामयिक विषयों पर भी अपने ब्लॉग लिखता रहा हूँ जो मुझे एक व्यक्ति और नागरिक के तौर पर प्रभावित करते हैं। मैं हर जगह सही नहीं हो सकता, मेरी हर कही बात सही नहीं हो सकती। शायद किसी की नहीं होती। लेकिन हाँ मैं जहाँ तक हो सके सही और तर्कसंगत होने की कोशिश करता हूँ। आमतौर पर मेरे ब्लॉग पोस्ट में मैं ‘बाइनरी’ जैसा दिखता हूँ क्योंकि मुझे पक्ष लेना पसंद है। मैं ऑब्जेक्टिव जरूर हूँ पर तटस्थ नहीं रह पाता।

‘बकर पुराण’ मेरी पहली किताब है। ये हास्य-व्यंग्य-संस्मरण का संग्रह है जो कि उन बैचलर लड़कों की जिंदगी में अपनी जगह पाता है जो छोटी-छोटी जगहों से निकलकर पढ़ाई आदि करने शहरों में जाते हैं। शहर में ठेल-धकेल कर घुस पाने से लेकर, उसे समझने और अंततः स्वयं ही शहर बन जाने तक एक बैचलर कई रास्तों और सीढ़ियों से गुज़रता है। ये किताब उसकी इसी जिंदगी और संघर्ष की कहानी है।

अपनी नई भाषा-शैली की वजह से ये काफ़ी सराहा गया है क्योंकि इसकी भाषा अभिजात्यता को त्यागने के बावजूद बिना फूहड़ हुए पाठक के चेहरे पर मुस्कान लाती है। इस किताब ने अपनी कहने की शैली और भाषा के प्रयोग से खुद को स्थापित किया है। और यही कारण है कि अब आपको सोशल मीडिया पर इस शैली में लिखने वाले बहुतायत मिलेंगे। ये इसकी सामूहिक स्वीकृति का परिचायक है।

I am a writer. I have been a writer since I realised I could write. It started with poems, Independence Day speeches, stories during the primary school days and continues till date. This is what I love. It has changed a lot as I, as a person, have changed with time, places where I studied and people I met.

Writing fiction is one aspect that I wish to continue. At the same time, I am opinionated on issues that concern me as a person and citizen. I might be wrong, as any of us are in their ignorance, but I strive to be correct and logical. Usually, my blogs look binary in nature as I prefer taking sides. I am objective but rarely neutral.

‘Bakar Puran’ is my first book. It is a bundle of satire, memories, and humour that finds its place in an everyday life of a bachelor coming from small places and settling in towns. From trying to fit in, to mingle and finally getting to be the town itself, a bachelor goes through various phases. This book is a documentation of that life and its struggles.

It has been widely loved for the raw, everyday language (that doesn’t rely on vulgarity for inducing cheap laughter) and its ability to be relatable to a wide population. It junks the myth of language’s need of being elitist. Its style of storytelling stands on its own. That’s the reason you would find several new writers on social media adopting this style of storytelling. This speaks for its acceptance.

His fourth book, Jo Bhi Kahunga Sach Kahunga, is a collection if his political satire that he scripted between 2020-2022. It has satirical essays on Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Indian Judiciary & CJI Chandrachud, Ravish Kumar among others.
